Love love love.

Hello my lovelies. I'm going to get right to it. Today's object of inspiration is Courtney Love. (dundundunnnn)
She acts, she sings, and she is hated by so many people. I think that makes her even cooler to me. True, she doesn't hold the same untouchable magic that she had back in the day, but everyone loses the it factor.
From her music, to her acting, to the lifestyle she lives everything has that touch of raw reality that screams Courtney Love. Little birds have told me that it's all an act, and that nothing she shows to the world reflects the Courtney inside. That is fine with me. She's not the only one who has a fantasy persona.

Courtney is a personification of every girl who wanted to rebel, to act crazy, or to just scream. I can't imagine how hard life must be for her, with everyone watching while she lost her husband, or struggled with a heroin addiction, or now with controversial plastic surgery. Looking at old pictures of her, I can only fantasize about how wild life can be.

My favourite pictures of her are the ones with her and Kurt. Most of my friends hate her, a couple think that she killed him. I'll never understand why.

Big eyed brown haired beauties.

Today's inspirations are these three lovely ladies. Zoey Deschanel, Katy Perry, and Lily Allen. Each are different and yet all very similar. All three have musical backgrounds, an all three have managed to retain an air of innocence, despite what they say, sing or do.

Zoey is becoming a very popular actress. Her career has been on a steady climb since her roles in Elf, Yes Man, and 500 Days of Summer. Zoey seems to ooze with talent and charm. She's quirky and cute, making everyone fall in love with her with a mere blink of her big blue eyes.

Next is Katy Perry. She exploded into the music world with her slightly controversial, yet catchy song "I kissed a Girl." Since then her songs have been high on the charts. Her music ranges from fun songs like "Hot and Cold," to genuine and heartfelt songs like "Thinking of You." Katy has a good sense of humour, and a retro spin on her clothing style.

Last, but not least, is our darling friend from Britain, Lily Allen. She has a strong independent attitude, music that makes us "Smile," and a seemingly endless list of achievements. Successful in music, on television, and in the fashion world, she's quite the opponent. Her television show "Lily Allen and Friends" which airs in the UK has had an array of famous guests. Lily isn't afraid to do, wear, and say whatever she wants (even if that means wearing nothing.)

All three have their own way of burrowing into your heart, and I can't help but love them for it. ♥

Fancy meeting you here

So remember when I said I was going to post pictures of my boots and jeans? Haaha... apparently I have bad motivation. It's only been... a little over a month. No big.
I've decided I want to post more than just what I'm wearing. I want to discuss movies, and pictures that inspire me. I'm also thinking of starting a movie review blog, but that's more a wispy thought than an actual idea.

Last night was my friends' birthday that they had together and it was 80/90's themed. I wore a pink sweater I found in my mom's closet, and some floral leggings.

It was fun. :3

Lately I am inspired by Effy:
I'll try not to forget this thing.

OooooooooOoooo

I know I haven't updated and you muuuust think I'm dead. Well, I am, this is my ghost typing.

Just kidding.

So, I have done things, but I never take pictures, and I feel silly posting without any pictures. I got new boots, and new jeans, so when I take pictures of those, I'll make a new post. Until then, why don't you go watch some movies, read some books, and get off the computer. :)

It's been a while, hasn't it? I haven't really been busy, but a lot of stuff has happened. I won't talk about it, but it made this blog seem like a minor aspect of my life. Now I feel a little bad. Poor little bloggy, all alone and forgotten!
I am in need of a haircut again. And a hair dye, now that I think about it. My hair just wants to be long and brown. That's its goal in life, and my goal is to keep it short and black. I think I'm losing. :(

This is what I wore today:

You can't see the bottom, but it starts as big polka dots and fades to little ones. I love this dress but it's a bastard. It's too big, too low, and no matter how much I freaking iron this thing it NEVER smooths out. But I love it anyway.
I found it at Value Village once. The cardigan is just some old thing from H&M. Besides that nothing to report. Still no new clothes, no hauls to speak of, but when I do have some nice things to show you, I'll bog you down with so many entries you wish I was poor again. :)

Au Revoir, mes petite chatons!

Low saturation...

I feel grey today. I thought about talking about the skirt project I'm doing, but I'll just put up a picture when I'm done.

I'm too plagued by dreams, and my weak fingers.

Lunette!

Being as I forgot to take iron supplements for two days, I am exhausted. Thus, I did not get dressed in nice clothes today, nor did I do make up, or brush my hair. Today I am sitting in my Mario shirt, with a blanket wrapped around my shoulders. Taking all this into consideration, I dub today, CRAZY GLASSES DAY!!!

To start off this exciting slew, is the typical, common RealD glasses:

Next on the show is a pair of Lennon inspired sunglasses:

Some old fashioned red/blue glasses:

And last but not least, my clown glasses:

I never thought about it before, but I collect glasses. I also have a pair of Raybands, but I didn't think those were as exciting.

I'm done now, I'm going to go curl up and snooze.

Wow, lovely.

It's been a few days, hasn't it? I thought about updating, but I didn't have much to say, really. I also haven't had a single nice outfit on in 3 days either. Today it's okay. Acceptable. Can't really complain. It's not like I look awful or anything.

Just wearing a wife beater, wrap sweater and some jeans. I'm also not bashful of my face, I just have no make-up on, so I didn't want you all to see. Lain can though.

So lately my friend and I have been watching this one show non stop. We watched most of the first two seasons in two days, save for the 3 we haven't watched yet and the few that we watched earlier. It's a British teen drama called Skins.
Now I like dramas usually, but this show is at least 4 notches above any drama I've seen on the television here. It's well scripted (it's only a tiny bit exaggerated instead of extreme), the characters are loveable, and the clothes they wear are fun! For example, the character Chris is always wearing something that's either bright orange, yellow, or green, OR it has some outrageous pattern. One shirt is a strange green pattern with orange trim around the neck and arms. It's really crazy. But the character I really took a liking to is Cassie.
I've never ever been so drawn to a character before. She's the willowy waif with kooky artsy outfits, and a soft troubled way of speaking. She smiles constantly, even though she is probably the saddest of all characters in the show, and she says "Fuck you" with such a childish innocence it makes you shiver. I always feel a little weird when I talk about people this way and worry that I'm starting to sound like a stalker. I sure hope I don't, I just admire and relate to her character. Plus, her outfits are definitely inspiring.

All the images can be found on her website. I jut picked a few out of the many many amazing outfits she wears. There was one dress I couldn't find that I liked the most. If I find it I'll post it.

That's all I really had to say. Summer is coming, I already have mosquito bites on my feet. :(

Take care~

Fucking Friday

I'm punk inspired again today. I tried out that layered tights idea that I've been seeing lately. It's thick and warm. I just had to pick the hottest day in a while to do it. Plus I have no where to go to show it off. Damn.

When I get a full length mirror it will be a lot easier. I won't have to stand on the toilet.
I'm wearing:
  • Plaid skirt that I found at Value Village
  • White wife-beater from Old Navy
  • My mum's 1980 long cardigan.
  • Red tights from Claire's
  • Small hole fishnets from Value Village (Halloween)
  • Black polka dot knee highs from Daiso :)
  • My black Converse All Stars
  • A chain necklace
The cheapest most bargain outfit in the world. Yaaaay.Hopefully I'll get the pictures of what I was wearing yesterday, but I do doubt I'll want to post them so late.
I've used up the extent of my clean clothes except for one shirt that I've been saving for a good day. I need to do ALL of my laundry. All of my clothes are gone. I also need to buy a whole wardrobe worth of new clothes. Like some cute pink Keds sneakers. I would die for some of those. They're not even that expensive! :( I'll definitely post a picture if I ever get some. I'll make an entirely pink outfit or something. :3

Until I think of something else to say, later days!

St. Patrick's Day

Today is one of those days. The days where you have a slew of opportunities to go out and have fun and yet you just want to go home. One of those days where you're so tired you don't care about what you're missing.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. I made a point in wearing green, but lots of people didn't. The shirt I had to wear was horrid. Some old 90's work out tank, with the T strap at the back. I hid it under an old hoodie. If I had more green clothes, maybe I could have avoided this mess. Haha.
Today I got to go to Metrotown. (For those who don't know, it's the biggest mall in British Columbia) It's not that exciting for me, I've been there many many times, but they just got a Forever 21 a couple months ago. Every time I go I'm completely broke, which is so frustrating. There are so many cute 50's cardigans, floral skirts, and grandpa sweaters. Not to mention their mannequins have huge 'fros. They haven't got an H&M yet, which is frustrating. I find it matches my style more, but Forever 21 is so huge, I don't even know what they have. Haha.
No pictures taken today, but I had one taken yesterday. I decided to be a late 1970's inspired punk yesterday. It was fun, the skirt I wore was really comfortable (if you ignore the fact that it was 2 sizes too big).
Hopefully I'll have some outfit pictures soon. I need to try and get on top of this.

Au Début

After browsing through clothing stores all day, I felt myself spontaneously inspired. However, my wallet was empty save for a few dollars, so I bought cookies instead. While munching on cookies I gave my friend fashion advice, and tips. I watched her spend her pay check on clothes that I wished I could have.
Later I begged a few more dollars out of ma mere, and bought myself a copy of this month's NYLON. You know the one, it has Katy Perry looking adorable on the cover. If shopping all day hadn't already inspired me, then the magazine sure did. While flipping through the pages I thought about something I had been discussing with my friend: "What I wore today" blogs.
At the time I said I wouldn't do one yet because I have no money, no clothes (worth showing), no dedication. This is still very true, but as I was trimming my blue black bangs I decided that it wouldn't hurt to make it early. So that's what I'm doing.
Maybe I won't talk about clothes all the time, but I'll definitely talk.
And you, whoever you are, are going to listen. : )
